Steam Punk Style Destination Wedding. Burning Man 2015.
...Here's a couple of words of what (to my mind) the Burning Man is and what "happened" with me there.
Another Planet
Just imagine nearly 70 000 people, who come together and create the city in a middle of the Black Rock Desert, Nevada. After a week it's vanishing as it wasn't there before.
The two days dust storms, the heat at daytime and the cold at night. The different kinds of music, master classes, mutant vehicles, the biggest camp on this planet, the great interesting opened people and the endless possibilities for a change.
For me it was a lifetime event and even if I had only ten boxes to do to tick in my life, the Burning Man would be there.
When I saw an amazing 4 minutes movie from Burning Man 2014, it was enough for me to know that I'm going to go there on the next year. Somehow I felt that it's going to be one of the most important events in my life, and it was...
It looks like 3/4 circled another planet's cosmodrome from the air and it looks the same from the inside. All this wonderful people look like they are from different planets too.
From aquarium to the oceans.
Here you have a chance to do whatever you want to do and to be whoever you want to be, or whoever you would be if you lived somewhere in this universe or beyond.
You have a chance to be better, to develop, to expand yourself and "move out from the aquarium to the oceans". There are no fake society rules which restrict you (if you don't restrict yourself) but there are the ten main Burning Man principles to follow. They help you to change for good, forever.
Here they are:
Leave No Trace. Radical Inclusion. Immediacy. Gifting, Participation. Decommodification. Radical Self Expression. Communal Effort. Radical Self Reliance. Civic Responsibility.
As to me, I've been changed.
When I came back to "normal" life I noticed, that I lough more. I hug more and longer. I started to feel (and Love) people more. I broke the borders of self established restrictions. I started to love more different kinds of music and feel that my body responds the sounds around me. I feel that nothing is by chance and that the world is Magic. I know that even my unbelievable dreams can come true straight in a moment, even some of them that can't happen at all. (They did on Burning Man).
I started to notice and pick up any small tiny rubbish if it doesn't naturally relates to the place anywhere.
Nothing comes back from this event unchanged. Not you, nor your gear or equipment, nor your soul...
Thickened Time
The time is different there. It thickens and a lot of magic stuff happens in a short amount of time. I can't tell you here all about my adventures and mysterious "coincidences" on the invisible (and visible) intersections of Burning Man. The reason is simple: you won't believe me (some of you do).
The second reason: there are a lot of stories, a lot!
About the dust in all your body holes.
The dust storms brought to me another really important understanding: "If you LOVE it, there is no need to cope with it!" (about the dust in all your body holes). The thing is, when we are trying to cope with it, we are wasting time and missing the priceless moments of our life. If we love it-we love it. It doesn't only relate to the cope with the thick dusty-dust inside of your meshy tent, it relates to our relationships and the life itself:) I don't want to go "deeper" from this point, because I can't describe it with words.
Nothing comes back from this event unchanged. Not you, nor your gear or equipment, nor your soul...
